○Shellfish Gathering at Sakai Beach (from late March to late August)
Enjoy gathering clams and other edible seashells in the shallow sea of Sakai,
commanding the departure and landing of airplanes.

○Sea Bathing (from July to August)
The fine sands of Ohno Bathing Beach in northern Tokoname offer you a comfortable
bathing experience. At the Sakai Bathing Beach to the south, you can enjoy both
shellfish gathering and sea bathing in the shallow sea.

○Tokoname Ware Festival (late August)
A large exhibition and sale of Tokoname ware, attended by some 300,000 visitors
annually; Approximately 2000 fireworks decorate the summer night. Locations:
Tokoname Boat Race Facility etc.

○Kamaya festival (late October)
Enjoy a variety of events at Citizen's Arena, including an exhibition of Tokoname ware,
pottery sales by kiln operators, and potter's wheel demonstrations.

○Agricultural Festival (middle October)
An agricultural and stock farming fair, where Products are sold on site. Location:
Tokoname Boat Race Facility (every year)

○Choza Award Contemporary Ceramic Biennial Exhibition (held every other fall)
A nationwide ceramic works public competition, operated by a fund dedicated by the
late Chozaburo Ina, Founder of INAX (one of the largest ceramic manufacturers); The
Grand Prize comes with award money of 2,000,000 yen.
