Consult Tokoname City Hospital (general hospital), or other clinic or dentist. If
possible, bring along a person who can speak Japanese.

* In an emergency, doctors on duty will see you outside the above hours.

If you are sick

Garbage collection
Tokoname City provides separated collection of household waste. Burnable waste is
collected twice a week, waste plastic packaging once a week. Non-burnable waste,
recyclable waste, and waste paper packaging are collected twice a month. The day,
time and site of collection vary by address. Never place your waste outside other
than on the collection day, time and site designated.

Procedures
○Registration of foreign residents
A non-Japanese national who wishes to remain in Japan for 90 days or more must
register at City Hall as a foreign resident within 90 days of arrival in Japan.
If you move to Tokoname City, you must report your move within 14 days of
completion. If you move from one location to another within Tokoname City, you must
also report your move within 14 days of completion.

○Family register
Any family birth, death, marriage or divorce must be reported.

○National Health Insurance
The National Health Insurance is a system for local residents and the national
government to share the cost of coverage of insurance against disease or injury.
If you have completed your foreign registration and have lived in Japan for 12 months
or more, you can join the National Health Insurance, in principle. Those who join social
insurance or similar programs at their offices are not eligible for this system.
